We have good news for those of you that have a distance to travel to the Bloomfield Apple Festival. There is a recently built MainStay Suites/Sleep Inn just south of the I-69/Hwy 231 exit. This hotel is just 10 minutes south of Bloomfield. If there are at least 10 Bloomfield Apple Festival vendors staying there, they will offer a discount. The address is 7834 Progress Way, Newberry IN 47449. The phone number is 812-863-2520.
Well, that was the good news. Here is the bad news. Hwy 54 between Bloomington and Bloomfield is closed. Coming from Indianapolis and Bloomington, take I-69 south toward Evansville. Take exit 87 to Hwy 231 for Bloomfield/ Crane. If you are going to the hotel, you will turn left/south and go less than a mile. To come to Bloomfield you will turn right/north on Hwy 231 to Bloomfield. It is about 10 minutes to Bloomfield. Go to the first stop light in Bloomfield and turn left/west on Hwy 54. The Apple Festival will be on your left just at the edge of town (Subway will be on your right and you will turn left into the park.
Exiting news the Bloomfield Apple Festival was awarded the 2018 Greene County Tourism Attraction of the year award, we are so proud of all the hard work and generosity that has help us accomplish this.
Thank you all.
